Haifa Municipality partnered with ICTBit to conduct a comprehensive cybersecurity exercise aimed at improving readiness and awareness among its senior management. Led by experts Ofer Genud and Shimon Sagron, the exercise focused on proactive planning and equipping leaders with effective tools for real-time crisis management in the event of a cyberattack. This collaboration highlights the growing need for municipalities to be prepared in a rapidly evolving threat landscape.  

The training began with an in-depth overview of the modern cyber threats targeting the public sector. Participants gained insights into existing defenses and the most common vulnerabilities exploited by attackers. This theoretical foundation set the stage for an advanced simulation exercise, which recreated a severe cyber event in real time. The simulation required participants to make critical decisions under pressure, responding to dynamic threats while maintaining operational continuity.
